In the midst of the historical and chaotic city that is Jaipur lies the oasis, Laalee—a nine-bedroom luxury boutique stay where every corner, every cushion, and every curated keepsake tells a story.
Owners Shan and Devyani Bhatnagar, along with their friends Ganesh and Preeti, have gloriously combined their love of Indian art, culture, and traditions with their innate hospitality to create a space that “feels like the home of a dear friend.” Shan, a talented pichwai artist and an ardent Krishna devotee, has designed each of the nine rooms to reflect the unifying theme of “love and the beloved”. Stepping into any room at Laalee is akin to stepping into a living artwork—each wall adorned with hand-painted frescoes that echo their quaint, yet evocative names like Gowdhuli, Basant, and Utsav. Every piece of furniture is lovingly chosen, its fabrics thoughtfully layered.
Mornings at Laalee are a sensorial treat. You wake up in a luxurious and comfortable bed to birdsong and the strains of an Indian raga. You walk down to breakfast, which is served al fresco in the garden, and soak in the sylvan peace before you begin your day. All menus and meals are curated by Devyani, who is a talented chef and chronicler of heirloom family recipes. There is no buffet here, just wholesome, organic, and seasonal meals served in cozy luxury. Laalee also collaborates with avant-garde chefs from across the country to host singular culinary experiences.
At Laalee, where luxury lies in the details, hospitality doesn’t end at providing a comfortable in-hotel experience. Whether you are looking for a pair of handcrafted silver earrings, the lightest ghewar (a Rajasthani sweet delicacy) in the old city, or the best route to discover Jaipur’s grand old havelis—someone at Laalee will help you find it. Personalized recommendations, heritage walks, seasonal food pop-ups, yoga workshops—everything is curated; nothing is forced.
Dusk at Laalee tiptoes, unhurried and intimate. In the summer, when the evenings are lazy and languid, you can choose to take a dip in the plunge pool next to the garden. Later, lanterns are lit, conversations are easy, and sometimes Shan offers a private storytelling session that feels more like a fireside folktale.

There’s so much love and heart in Laalee that you can feel its presence in every detail. For travellers seeking quiet luxury, thoughtful hospitality, and a deeper connection with Jaipur’s artistic soul, Laalee offers something rare and deeply resonant.
And with HaveMony, everything from paying for your room to buying that handmade pichwai is seamless—just scan, pay, and sink into the beauty of the moment.
